Severn Explorations Rib Adventures
Cardiff's number 1 rib ride. Severn Explorations provide safe exhilarating trips out to sea. Together with experienced guides at hand and knowledge of Cardiff bay and the Bristol Channel, this adventure will be one not to forget. The rib, extreme, is an 11m custom made rib with twin 250hp engines, certified by the maritime and coastguard agency (MCA) to carry 12 passengers, 2 crew members up to 20 miles offshore day or night. The main trip is the hour blast to sea. After kitting everyone up in waterproofs and lifejackets we take you from the flat calm of mermaid quay out into the bay, this is where we open up the power to give you a little idea about what the trip is going to be like! When we depart from the locks at the barrage we navigate out into the Severn Estuary. We will then blast along the coast to Lavernock Point where we stop and drift in the running tide and explain what happens in this area. We then blast you out of Flat Holm and Steep Holm which have wildlife and scenery in abundance.
